Youth book ‘What is industrial heritage? – AWaP (in French)

2,50

For a large part of its history, man has lived by craftsmanship (production in small quantities) and industry (production in large quantities). The difference between the two is mechanisation, the use of machines to help people work. For a long time, wind and water were used to power machines. Then, during the Industrial Revolution in the 19th century, fossil fuels (coal, gas, petrol, etc.) were introduced. These activities left us with a large number of buildings: mills, forges, factories, mines… which form part of our heritage.

This booklet will tell you all about our industrial heritage. There are also games to put your new knowledge into practice.

A fun book for children aged 8 to 12 explaining the main concepts relating to Wallonia’s heritage.
