Nyssen Syrup: A family tradition for 12 generations. An artisanal know-how passed down from generation to generation.
Nyssen syrup is a delight to spread, cook with, or even enjoy by the spoonful. Made with local apples and pears, it continues a family tradition spanning 12 generations. The Nyssen family, a true artisanal business, highlights passion, quality, and authenticity. Joseph, Claudy, and Antoine carry on the know-how passed down by their ancestors every day.
A natural product with no added sugar. It is obtained solely by boiling down the juice of cooked fruits over high heat. Production is seasonal: in September and October, the siroperie works at full capacity to prepare stock for the whole year. Each jar reflects the freshness of the fruits used.
An ideal accompaniment for cheese and much more. Nyssen syrup belongs on every table. It can be enjoyed at breakfast, as a snack, or on a simple slice of bread. It also pairs wonderfully with cheeses and is used in many recipes: meats, desserts, or traditional dishes. This unique product appeals to both gourmets and lovers of regional cuisine. Over the years, Aubel’s artisanal syrup has become a well-known and recognized product. Thanks to production methods that respect the family recipe, it retains its smooth texture and authentic taste. Each production cycle begins with fruit harvesting and ends with potting, ensuring exemplary traceability.
A true staple of the region, Nyssen syrup is available at the Maison du Tourisme du Pays de Vesdre.
